This was a final project I produced for one of my classes in spring of 2020. We had to choose a topic from the semester and find examples of it in media. As a huge sports fan, I chose Clickbait and related it to sports media.
This was filmed with an iPhone, lavalier Microphone, and a tripod.
An Earlier story I filmed for a class at Michigan State, this was considered a "Talent Showcase" video about Daniel Dade, a Music Education Student at Michigan State.
This was filmed with an iPhone, tripod, and lavalier microphone.
One of the first stories I filmed at MSU, I decided to cover a reported noose that was found taped to the door of a black student in one of the dorms on campus. An investigation determined that it wasn't meant with any malicious intent, and was supposed to be "a ghost", as it was around Halloween weekend. Still, Students had plenty of thoughts on the matter.
This was filmed with an iPhone, lavalier microphone, and a tripod.
This was a story I did entirely on my own. In the fall of 2020 as a result of the    COVID-19 pandemic, the Spartan Marching Band's season was called off once the Big Ten Conference announced they wouldn't be holding a football season. As a member of the band, I was crushed, and I decided to express that in a medium I felt comfortable with.
The Big Ten ultimately had a season, however the band still stayed sidelined. This was produced with a iPhone, tripod, and shotgun microphone, as well as two videos submitted to me by members of the band.
This was a video story I produced about the Ronald McDonald House of Northeast Ohio that I made for a class at Michigan State while staying in the house itself. I wasn't expecting to stay in the house as long as I did, and had to produce this story with nothing but a phone and a small portable tripod.
They enjoyed the video so much they shared it and featured it on their website for a short time.
This is a short "Day in the Life" documentary I produced for one of my classes at Michigan State. I followed Alex Everdeen, a music teacher at the East Lansing School of Rock, through his daily routine.
This was filmed with a Canon M50, a wireless lavalier microphone, a shotgun microphone, a GoPro Hero8 Black, and an iPhone.
This is a Public Service Announcement I produced with some classmates in the fall of 2019. We submitted it for the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Student Awards that year, and we won best PSA!
This was filmed entirely with an iPhone, tripod, and shotgun microphone.
